Hi, I am also building with plantation, starting in April. Can you let me know how you got the electrician to install your fittings before handover? All the paperwork at contract stage state that they won't install owner supplied fixtures and fittings. We have our electrical consult next week so any other advice your have would be appreciated. Hi Tony, I think it generally comes down to the Electricians contracted to the job - some will install, some won't. We chatted to ours and they were happy to cost it into the job and we just paid the difference. They installed the downlights/ LED's and fluros and we just had to pay extra for the pendants, bathroom extractor/ lights and also our fans which we had paid to wire but not install (not sure how we missed that one).
