Electrical Appointment and Post Contract Variation

Your Home Consulting
Our Electrical appointment went well down in Moffat Beach.  We went over the $4000 allowance ..... as expected by $1200 but may be able to bring that back slightly depending on what our pool company says we need for their electrical fittings.  Also by reducing our number of power points by one, we will be able to delete an extra light circuit and safety switch.  So will work on that tonight.  We have allowed for plenty of fittings, so could easily loose one to save us $300.

We have decided to put LED's throughout the house.  Although they are expensive than standard down lights, they last for long long time so work out very cost effective and energy efficient.  My mission now to source the fittings at as good price as I can.

We have also decided to add an alarm system (an extra $1100) and smart wiring for our media room so that is all adding to the costs.  However, smarter to add them in now than later down the track.

Our Consultant was really helpful and had some good advice - so the whole exercise was pretty stress-free - even with the kids sitting on the floor playing on the iPads!

We also got back today our Post Contract Variation and was pleasantly surprised.  We hadn't gone for a lot of upgrades and those we had came in quite reasonable.  There are a couple of things we had quoted which we probably won't include as the costs are creeping up there! - but all-in-all we are pretty happy.

It's all starting to come together extremely well!  Council approval will be next!

Developer Approval & Unity Water BOS Application

Today we received an email from the Developer at the Haven Design office to say that she would be emailing the APPROVAL for our build through soon !!!  Very excited to get this part of the process sorted already and with no issues.

We have had to complete a BOS (Build over Sewer) application to Unity Water as our home will be within 1.5 metres of the 3 metre sewer easement ..... why they just don't make the easement 4.5 metres and be done with it I do not know?!   .... perhaps something to do with the $500 application fee?

This had to be signed in front of JP, so a trip up to Cooroy this morning to meet with Caron from Craig's work who is JP to get the paperwork complete.
